The Portalblau festival, which takes place in the summer between L’Escala and Empúries (Alt Empordà), has presented a preview of the program for its 14th edition. From July 16 to August 15, four unique spaces such as the Roman forum in Empúries or the Clos del Pastor garden in L’Escala.
Will host a score of cultural activities, with a great role in music. The cycle, which presents scenarios full of history as an addition to the artistic proposals, continues with the philosophy of offering a transversal program focused on art in the Mediterranean and aimed at all audiences.
In this sense, the festival has already announced several concerts: Manel, as a great claim with the album ‘Per la bona gent’ (August 14); the voice of Judit Neddermann, who will present her new album, ‘Aire’ (August 1).
The composer Manu Guix will review his long and successful career in a recital in which the public will be able to choose the repertoire (July 31).
The young Barcelona-born Suu will combine her live performance with a recital of selected pieces from her collection of poems (July 30) and the Oques Grasses from Osone will arrive with a record fresh from the oven to turn Empúries upside down (August 13). There will also be the children’s idols El Pot Petit, who will offer a festive show for the little ones (August 8).
Dance also has a space at the Portalblau festival, which already has tickets for sale (from 12 to 32 euros) . On July 23, the El Paller company.
In collaboration with Els Mals Endreços and Txema Alabert, will present a live contemporary dance and musical composition show, devised and created to carry it out in the Mariner de l’Escala cemetery (23 of July).
For her part, Mireia Calafell will offer a poetry recital accompanied by the Icelandic cellist and composer Björt Rùnars (July 24), among other proposals to be announced.
